At my son's are class they have a box of toys - he brings one each week to drop in and gets to take a "new" one......

They should do that in every class. It would teach kids so many good lessons such as sharing and knowing the true value of possessions.
You could also do with a van that could could drive from school to school on a Friday. Even if you just swapped out the toys in the classroom it would be great for the kids.

I think it would be an interesting idea to get an old ice cream truck van and take it around small communities and ask people for things they don't want anymore. Especially in places like apartments where people can't have garage sales, even clean up stuff from dumpsters and offer to let people maybe take anything and everything they want for like 3-5 dollars. I think you'd make a profit on it after paying for gas. Plus, you could keep the cool stuff!.
Start by doing this among your friends with children. Even two families sharing toys would be great for the kids.
